| Peter Guske, PT |
Peter Guske, PT, in the myth-shattering and highly non-traditional manner that has become his trademark, will discuss and demonstrate how people can put their own back "back in" after having their back "go out". Over the past four years Mr. Guske has instructed over 14,000 workers nationwide and continues to impress results-oriented safety professionals and companies with this information that will help reduce the common problem of back injuries.
Mr. Guske is a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience treating back injuries. Mr. Guske opened his own rehabilitation clinic in 1988 and has gone on to build "The Back Saver System", a national company which provides employers with cost-effective, on-site back prevention programs.
Doors open at 11:30, Lunch starts at 11:50, Program from 12:15-1:30.

Time: 5 PM - ?
Where: Old Chicago, on Lake Street (Canal Park)

The annual ACHMM, ASSE, AIHA Summer Cruise took place Thursday, August 7th. The weather could not have been more perfect as our band of 73 people set off from the docks at the Port of Wayzata for their version of a "three hour tour". All hands on deck were treated to a fascinating visual display of exotic boats and homes with no encounters with pirates or other nefarious characters. The camaraderie was evident as guests enjoyed the opportunity to visit with friends and colleagues, both old and new.
Many thanks to all the sponsors who helped make this event possible, especially our sponsors!

Rick Swanson, Training Manager for Health, Safety and Environment at Valspar Corporation in Minneapolis, is interested in forming a Special Interest Group (SIG) for local training managers, trainers or other professionals with training responsibilities in the fields of health, safety and environment. If you have responsibility for managing training, conducting training or are genuinely interesting in training, this group is for you!
The goal for the SIG is to provide a forum for participants to share best practices, resources and success stories. Initial plans include monthly meetings and perhaps having a web based discussion board available. If you are interest in participating, please contact:
